Install FlowyChatBot in OpenCart

Check your store version in the administration footer and download its matching package. Back up your store before installing or updating.

  1. Complete the installation. In OpenCart 2 and 3, refresh Modifications and the theme cache. In OpenCart 1.5.6, refresh the vQmod cache using its normal controls.
  2. Open Extensions → Modules, find FlowyChatBot and choose Install, then Edit.
  3. Create your FlowyChatBot account if you do not have one, then add your store domain.
  4. In your FlowyChatBot account, open Stores → your store → Installation guide and choose “Show keys”. Copy Store key and Private store key into the matching OpenCart module fields. Keep the private key secret.
  5. Enable the module, save and choose “Test connection”. Then synchronise your catalogue.
  6. Set your chat colours, images and text in Appearance and behaviour in your FlowyChatBot account. You can select separate sources for shipping and returns.
  7. Open your storefront as a visitor and test a product question. Order questions require customer sign-in or email verification.

The OpenCart connector is free. The AI service requires a FlowyChatBot account and an active trial or paid plan.

Update an existing installation

Use the package for the same OpenCart version, keep your store keys and refresh modifications and cache. Do not install packages for different versions together.

Custom themes must render the standard OpenCart footer. If the launcher does not appear, contact support with your OpenCart version and theme name.
